You will learn about all the popular monuments as your guide tells you about the architecture and history of the downtown area. Starting on the East side of San Jose, the first thing we will see is Democracy Place and the National Museum, the Courts, Los Yoses, San Pedro Mall, Hispanidad Fountain and the Rodrigo Facio Campus in the University of Costa Rica. After we have seen the capital’s main attractions, our first stop will be in the impressive Pre-Columbian Gold Museum and the beautiful National Theater where we will have a guided visit through these cultural gems. After our visit, the tour continues to the western section of San Jose: La Sabana Metropolitan Park, Costa Rican Contemporary Art Museum or the first International Airport in Costa Rica, the National Gymnasium, the Comptroller’s office, residential area of Rohrmoser, Nunciatura, Nobel Peace prize winner Oscar Arias Sanchez’s home, Rohrmoser Boulevard and Pavas section. One museum of particular interest is the national Museum of pre-Columbian art. Transformed from an old military fort to show the country's peaceful tradition, this museum will give you an insight into the heritage of Costa Rica. It features a stunning gold, jade, stone and pottery collection. At the end of the tour, you will have the opportunity of visiting a interesting shopping place where you will be able to buy a souvenir of your visit of San Jose. You will also be amazed by the historic National Theater, completed in 1897 and a masterpiece of architecture. This tour will immerse you in Costa Rica's rich culture and history by taking you to the beautiful museums and historical sites of San Jose. Lodging at your hotel in San Jose.



Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Juan Santamaria International Airport in San Jose to fly to Managua, capital of Nicaragua. Transfer to Granada, before reaching the city of Granada, we will visit the attractions of the city of Masaya, the majestic Masaya Volcano first, followed by the Craft Market. In 1979, Masaya became Nicaragua's first National Park, named Masaya Volcano National Park (Parque Nacional Volcan Masaya). The National Park has an area of 54 km² includes two volcanoes and five craters,[2] as well as a range of elevations between 100 and 630 meters above sea level. It is the only volcano in the western hemisphere where you are able to drive to the rim. In the park is an underground tunnel which was formed by lava flows; one can find bats and look inside and observe the glowing lava in the dark crater mouth of the volcano.




Early this morning after breakfast, we will visit the Choco Museum at Hotel Spa Granada, this is a tour with duration of 1 hour and half and you will learn how to make chocolate, from the cacao tree to the chocolate. Later Cigar Tour in Mombacho Cigar located at La Calzada Street, this will be a Tour in the factory, where you will learn all about the process of the Cigar. Later Colonial Tour where we visit the Tower of La Merced Church, the Cathedral, Plaza Central and the Museum San Francisco. Then, we will visit Mombacho volcano, at arrival in the car parking area you will stop then you will continue with your 4x4 vehicle to the scientific station, before that you can stop to taste the fine coffee of the zone, from there you will start to hike with a local guide to the El Crater trail, this will take about one hour and you will hike through the visited cloud forest in the volcano and experience the fantastic canopy tour. Overnight at HOTEL GRANADA in Granada.



After breakfast, we will visit Los Pueblos Blancos (White Towns) one of them is Catarina, here we go to the view Point, with a spectacular landscape, you will see the Apoyo Lagoon, Granada City and Mombacho Volcano; the last one destination is San Juan de Oriente, handicraft town. After lunch, boat ride tour through the Islets of Granada which are located in Lake Cocibolca. The islets are a group of 365 small islands scattered about the Asese peninsula. The islets are of volcanic origin, they were formed when the Mombacho volcano blew much of its cone into the lake thousands of years ago, thereby creating the archipelago. Most of islets are covered with vegetation and rich with bird life. Many of the islets are occupied. Some are privately owned and hold homes or vacation houses. There are facilities for the residents and for tourists. Hotels and shops are established on some of the islets.

Visit the colossal statue of Christ of the Mercy that sits above the town on the northern end of San Juan del Sur bay. Evening transfer to Granada. Overnight at Granada hotel.




Transfer to the international airport in Managua to fly back to USA.
